Jenn Moudahi
Jenn Moudahi is a Métis author, clinical counselor, and mom. Less officially, she's also a dance party enthusiast, nature-lover, competitive boardgamer, crazy cat lady, and professional snacker. She lives creatively—writing, dancing, and crafting—and learned Indigenous art (drums, beading, moccasins, and more) from her mom, who founded her own Indigenous art business. Jenn spent many hours in her mom's workshop and even served as her assistant for workshops around British Columbia (which often meant skipping school—an extra perk).
Writing has always been part of Jenn's life: journaling, short stories, poetry contests, the school newspaper, and even submitting poems for assignments. She won awards for her poetry and dreamed of publishing a book someday. After moving to Vancouver, she drifted toward dance, became a Registered Massage Therapist, and later a Clinical Counsellor—discovering she simply enjoys too many things. It wasn't until maternity leave with her daughter that she found her way back to writing, and she has since landed in her sweet spot: writing for kids.
Jenn adores writing, counseling, and mothering. In her spare time, you'll find her dancing, crafting, camping, hiking, and playing boardgames—many of which show up in her books.
