Sherman Alexie

Sherman Joseph Alexie Jr. is a Spokane novelist, short story writer, poet, screenwriter, and filmmaker. His writings draw on his experiences as an Indigenous American. He is a citizen of the Spokane Tribe of the Spokane Reservation.
